New Collection: Tote bags by The Rare Ones

The Rare Ones is pleased to announce that we have expanded our collection to include eco-friendly tote bags.   Los Angelenos have had to make a change in our grocery shopping routine.  In an effort to reduce waste Los Angeles passed a plastic bag ban earlier this year.   All grocery stores are prohibited from providing customers with plastic grocery bags at checkout.  Now when we go to the grocery store we can bring our own bags or pay 10 cents per paper bag at checkout. :-( Instead of carrying old plastic bags we have decided to invest in awesome reusable cotton bags.

Customize you own tote bag with names, numbers or any of our other embroidered images.

Rare Trips: American Apparel Factory

Happy Monday!
I love my weekly trips to the American Apparel factory in Downtown Los Angeles.

For those of you who are not familiar with American Apparel, they are a North American based clothing company that specializes in awesome basics.  This vertically integrated company is one of the only clothing brands that make all of their own products and is sweatshop-free.

When searching for the perfect t-shirt we explored countless brands.  We finally chose American Apparel based on the fair treatment of their employees and their political activism.
In addition to the being active in their community American Apparel t-shirts

are comfortable, high quality and have a great fit.

We are currently in the process of expanding our product line.  We are working on bringing new color options, styles and accessories to our collection.

Stay tuned for new products and special offers from The Rare Ones.

Rare Health and Fitness: The 7 Chakras

Love Yoga?!?! So do we. Check out our latest yoga inspired Women's tanks and t-shirts.

We started this collections because we have become obsessed with yoga, particularly hot yoga.  Its only been about a month, but I can definitely say that I am a Yogi.  One of the hardest workouts I have ever done, but so rewarding.  After my practice I feel amazing. Lighter, taller, brighter what could be better?

Solar Plexus Racerback Tank

Our collection of yoga tanks and shirts are adorned with the 7 Chakras.

It is believed that the body has 7 main chakra centers that are connected to our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well being.

All of our yoga tanks and tees are embroidered on lightweight and comfortable American Apparel shirts.
These designs are so simple and colorful that they can be worn to yoga practice, the gym or with a pair of jeans.

My favorite is the crown racerback tank.

I will be posting a lot about yoga, my practice and other great health and fitness tips.  Are you a yogi?  If so, how long have you been practicing?
